Canadian Museum of History

My heartfelt thank you goes to Gérald Courcelles from the Canadian Museum of History. He just placed a generous order for my books and bookmarks.  The proceeds will be going to support Canadian veterans who haven’t the means for a proper burial.  The fantastic service provided by the Last Post Fund will ensure that these Canadian Military men and women will have a resting place of dignity at the  National Field of Honour.   Can’t beat that!!! My Birthday!

I have had the BEST day ever! To start my day, I had breakfast and sang songs with WW2 veteran Paul Baytor.  I then went to John Bead and worked with Thanh Tran to first design and then purchase the parts necessary  for me to make the belt for my 1917 dress. Vimy Song Barrage

Today I worked with my Sound Engineer on the artillery fire that begins my song,  A Letter From Home.  Rob and I spent hours today on this 30 second segment!  With luck, the song will be finalized and mastered this week. Shopping for a 1917 style dress

Today my niece Jillian and I went shopping for fabric to have a 1917 style dress made for me to wear.  Below is the image we used as our starting point.  It came from a dress pattern from that era almost 100 years ago.  I am having my seamstress Alba make this same outfit for me.  I will wear it this November, when I  sing at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.  I intend to sing my new song “A…
