Rod Hodgson from Hudson Quebec gave a talk on Vimy Ridge to students of Jean-Sebastian de la Chevrotiere at College Bourget. Pleased to see my “Vimy! Valour! Victory!” book used in his presentation! Thank you Rod for sharing this wonderful experience with me!

Reserve Forces Night at the RCMI, 2017
Great evening spent at the RCMI! BGen Carignan was the guest speaker and certainly engaged the audience with her excellent presentation. It was fantastic catching up with familiar people and having the opportunity to meet new acquaintances! Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell was one of the invited guests and others that I had opportunity to meet are pictured below!

Visiting Veterans
This weekend was the best! I enjoyed my time visiting with 3 WW2 veterans. My first visit was with Paul and we enjoyed singing songs together…we have a repertoire that we go through each week…definitely a highlight for me! Next I visited with Herb and with great luck, his son Steve was here visiting from Calgary. The last visit this weekend was with John, and if you look at the picture in the background, you will see him as a younger man. Still very handsome!
I am blessed to have them all in my life!
Ranger Christmas Party at CFB Meaford
It was a fabulous evening with great people and LOTS of wonderful food! 3 CRPG Rangers from 15 remote communities in northern Ontario were down south for the past 10 days at CFB Meaford. They were on a leadership training course and at the Christmas party, they were all awarded their certification. Bravo for a job well done!
LCol Matt Richardson (the commanding officer of the Ranger patrol) and Sergeant Major, Chief Warrant Officer Rob Patterson had some fun by exchanging ranks for the night with the youngest Rangers on course. All the instructors, Matt, Rob and even Honorary LCol of the Rangers John Newman served the meal and waited on us hand and foot…fantastic fun!
It was wonderful for me to reconnect with one of the Rangers I interview for my book. Her name is Master Corporal Linda Kamenawatamin from Bearskin Lake Canadian Ranger Patrol.
I couldn’t have gone home happier! Thank you to 3 CRPG for the great invite!
First Canadian Place
At First Canadian Place this week with re-enactor Bill White selling my books and bookmarks. Met lots of wonderful people who have purchased books from me; like Anne Hodge, who purchased one of each of my books and bookmarks too! Thank you all for your great support!
The Band of the Royal Regiment of Canada
Fantastic concert today at the Glenn Gould Studio. We performed to a full house of enthusiastic people! Pictured below is the morning rehearsal for the concert, pictures of my book set up that re-enactor Bill White manned for me and pictures from my performances. Also performing at the concert were vocalists Danielle Bourre, David Leask and The Pipes & Drums of the 48th Highlanders of Canada. A heart-felt thank you to the Royal Regiment of Canada band for their excellent musicianship and support!
Delivering books to C.F. Borden!
After school, took a load of books up to Borden for delivery! I am excited that my Legacy & Tradition book is catching on! It was odd to see brilliant fall colours in all the trees and snow blowing around!
Change of Command for the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada
Was invited to Moss Park Armour for the change of Honorary Appointment Parade from HCol Stevenson to HCol Holmes. Outstanding evening! Pictures below are from the event.
